Mardi Gras recently passed, also known as Fat Tuesday. The holiday was originally meant to celebrate eating all the rich fatty foods that would spoil during Lent due to lack of refrigeration. The day has long ceased to have that meaning, and become known for raucous celebrations, beautiful costumes, and brilliant colors.
The main colors of Mardi Gras are Purple which represents Justice, Gold for Power and Green for Faith. Beaded necklaces, masks, and bold outfits can be viewed at parties across the nation on Fat Tuesday. In a spirit of celebration, I wanted to share some of my favorite Bedding Style products in these colors today!
City Scene Retro Radar Purple is one of my favorite bold prints that we carry. The vibrant colors are sure to liven up any bedroom.
The greens in the Perry Ellis Sweet Bay comforter with both an intense kelly green and "celery" are beautiful additions to the brown background.
Finally, the Retro Radar Camel Red by City Scene has the deep gold that is associated with Mardi Gras.
Hope you had a wonderful Mardi Gras celebration, and enjoy the beautiful colors that are out and about tonight as people celebrate!
