Behind The Scene: At Highpoint Market

Last week I shared the highlights from Highpoint market and what the trends in Home are for Spring/Summer. This week I wanted to share with you what is on the horizon for Fall 2012 in Home.

There are four trends that caught my attention:

A Passion for Purple
Purple took a royal bow in High Point, with hues ranging from lilac to plum.

Manor Hill: Amara

Laura Ashley: Addison

Sea Life
Coastal looks will always have a home in furnishings designs, but look for designs to be inspired by sea creatures rather than seashores.

Nobody does the coastal looks better than our bedding from Tommy Bahama and Nautica; we have a couple of designs that will fit right in to this trend.

Tommy Bahama: Kemp's Bay

Nautica: Dana Point Harbor

Natural Notes
Natural fibers are making their mark. On the runways, raffia was refined and elegant. For the home, look for more grasses and fibers to weave their way into designs.

Naturals by
Vera Wang couldn’t be more spot-on to this trend. Linen and cotton blended duvets with fraying edge and eyelet trim.

Vera Wang: Naturals

Stately Scrolls
Inspired by ancient motifs and refined as only the French can do. Scrolls swirled onto designs in both bold and subtle ways.

Our brand new pattern from
Manor Hill, has tonal scroll design with flocking embellishments.

Manor Hill: Paloma

Even though it is the beginning of Spring, I hope this gets you excited for the new fall trends “on the horizon”

Have a great week
